NATURALLY SWEET BEEKEEPING

Come out to Pemberton Historical Park to learn all about beekeeping. Join park staff and Master Beekeeper Dean Burroughs as we learn all about honeybees and their busy lives. This is an adult oriented program that will include work out by the Park’s bee boxes. Kids ages 12 and up are welcome. Please wear long sleeved, light colored clothing. Each of the hikes will cover a different nature theme, and include a variety of activities such as crafts, hiking, books, and nature lessons. Designed especially for children age 3-5 years old. What wildlife does Pemberton Park have to offer at night? Come join our park staff as we hike the trails at night looking for sights and sounds of our nocturnal friends. Be there as we call in Great Horned Owls and coax Grey Foxes out of their dens. Group size is limited to 15 people, so be sure to register ahead of time. SUMMER NATURE CAMP AT PEMBERTON HISTORICAL PARK
Summer Nature Camp is a day camp for children who enjoy exploring and learning about the natural world around them. There are camps available for children ages 4-14. Nature camps provide lots of learning opportunities and tons of hands-on outdoor fun!

Ever caught a large mouth bass or seen frog eggs? Join us and come explore the pond at the park. Water is everywhere! Learn all about the water we depend on, such as the Chesapeake Bay, the Wicomico River and even the park’s own pond. To further enhance our experience with the river we will be spending a half day kayaking on the Wicomico River at the end of the week. If you are interested in water, this camp is for you!

SO YOU WANT TO BE A BIOLOGIST?
August 11-15

This is the quintessential week for your future biologist and those that already love nature! Campers will learn the tricks of the trade while exploring the park’s habitats and making their own scientific discovery! This week also features fieldtrips to the Salisbury Zoo and Ward Museum along with presentations from professionals in the field! Camp will culminate with a half day of kayaking on the Wicomico River while learning about the exciting new field of eco-tourism!

GENERAL CAMP INFORMATION
Registrants receive a camp t-shirt and snacks and drinks are provided. Payment must be received at time of registration. A minimum of 10 campers are required to hold each Camp session. Maximum number is 25 per camp. Camps fill quickly, so please register early. Camp will be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not reached and enrolled registrants will be notified at least one week prior to camp session start date. Registration fee will be forfeited if participant cancels less than 1 week before camp session start date.
