Pemberton Park Summer Nature Camp 2011
Pemberton Park Summer Nature Camp is a day camp for children who enjoy exploring and learning about the natural world around them. There are summer camps available for children ages 4-14. Nature camps provide lots of learning opportunities and tons of hands-on outdoor fun. All Pemberton Park summer campers will receive a camp T-shirt, snacks and drinks each day. Each camp session (except 4-year old camps) includes a half-day of kayaking.
Nature Camp in 2011 will be better than ever. This year we have introduced two brand new camps, included trips from the Salisbury Zoo and other professionals in the field, new equipment for bug catching, an ant farm, butterfly display and more.
Camps fill up quickly, so please register early! Friends and Members of Pemberton Historical Park receive 10% discount on each camp session. New in 2011: walk up registrations will not be accepted, so please register in advance! You may register until the Thursday before camp begins. For Parents
Please keep in mind that this is a nature camp, so your child will be spending most of his or her time outdoors. In the event of rain, we will still be holding some activities outside. Please send your child with the appropriate “outdoor apparel” and closed-toed shoes everyday (your child will not be able to participate in flip flops or sandals). Be sure to apply sunscreen and bug spray on your child each morning before arrival at camp. You are also responsible for providing your child with a non-perishable lunch. In accordance with state COMAR regulations, we ask that you also please include an ice pack in your child’s lunch. We will provide a small snack each afternoon.
New in 2011 Walk-up registrations will not be accepted this year, so please register in advance. Children may register up until the Thursday before camp begins. Contact Kerri Liming if you have any question.
