Trail Maintenance
With 4.1 miles of trails, there is a constant need for trail inspection and maintenance. If you enjoy working in the great outdoors and have a passion for pruning or mulching, this would be a wonderful way for you to contribute. Share your love of the park with others by helping to preserve it's natural beauty.

School Group Docents
Environmental and historical education are a fundamental part of what takes place at the park. Each year thousands of school age children visit Pemberton for close encounter's with the past and the present. We believe that better education today can make for a better world tomorrow. This is your opportunity to teach the future leaders of our communities how to appreciate and preserve the unique beauty and history of the Eastern Shore. Lead insect trails, ponding expeditions, and nature hikes. Play games, teach, and have fun. That's what it's all about!

Tiny Tikes and Teeny Tiny Tikes Docents
We have something for everyone here at Pemberton. For the 3 to 5 year olds, Tiny Tike Hikes are a fun way to teach small children about the wonders of nature. For the 1 to 3 year olds, Teeny Tiny Tike Hikes are a wonderful way to share in the awe of children experiencing things for the first time. Watching a small child's first caterpillar experience can really make your day!

Historic Area Maintenance
To preserve the look and feel of the Historic area of Pemberton, there is often periodic maintenance and the creation of new facets of the park. Through the use of volunteers, we are able to do rebuild snake and waddle fences throughout the park as well as add things to the park such as the apple orchard and the fences which surround each tree. If you have carpentry or painting talents or if you just enjoy being outdoors working with your hands, this may be a great volunteer opportunity for you!
